Touted by his critics as a tea party warrior and religious nut, radio talk show host and Fox News personality, Glen Beck wowed a crowd of over 250,000 at a rally in Washington D.C today, on the very steps that Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. Beck along with Sara Palin and religious leaders from around the country called on America to “turn back to God”.
People from as far away as California and Alaska started arriving days before the event depicted by Beck critics as going to be an anti-government rally. Instead the patriotic crowd heard a humble Glen Beck give praise to the many men and women who have sacrificed their lives fighting for Americas freedom.
During the event, which was also live streamed to 130,000 Facebook viewers, Beck raised $5.5 million for the Special Operations Warrior Fund (SOWF). The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides full scholarship grants, educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die serving our country.
Beck’s main focus was on God and our need for unity as a country. “For too long, this country has wandered in darkness,” Beck said. It is time to “concentrate on the good things in America, the things we have accomplished and the things we can do tomorrow.”
Sara Palin also spoke at the event honoring our military members. Palin told the crowd she wasn’t speaking as a politician. “No, something more, something much more. I’ve been asked to speak as the mother of a soldier and I am proud of that distinction. Say what you want to say about me, but I raised a combat vet and you can’t take that away from me.” Referring to her 20 year old son Track who served in Iraq.
Beck thanked the crowd for attending the rally and for all of their support. The event was followed by a prayer, asking God to protect all of the soldiers who continue to fight for our freedom everyday.

Left with nowhere to turn, the democratic party has resolved to bashing any voter who may disagree with their beliefs. The recent New York mosque controversy is a prime example of just how far democrats are willing to go in their quest to silence the majority in America and mandate tolerance.
