With almost a trillion dollars to lose, most banks will work with you on reducing your mortgage to minimize losses.

There are other ways to resolve your mortgage problems. To sell a foreclosed property, some banks are forced to hire contractors to fix up the property to make it marketable. A good example is the house right next door to me.

My neighbor went into foreclosure six months ago. The property is in dire need of renovations, just to make it market ready. Their bank has hired a contractor to perform such repairs as replacing the carpet, interior painting, fence repair, and landscape clean up.

Now the cost of a contractor is very expensive. You could offer to make the property market ready for the bank, saving the bank money while negotiating a lower mortgage payment. This way you can stay in the home until repairs are completed or avoid foreclosure altogether. This innovative approach requires some work on your part. Don’t wait for a government bailout which is never going to come.

Contact your bank representative, sit down and negotiate. Key in on the benefits of such a partnership. The pros far out weigh the cons. Once the bank realizes your commitment to work out a solution, they may be willing to negotiate a new loan. If you do nothing, your credit is going to take a big hit. At minimum, contact your bank and start the ball rolling.

If the bank agrees, make sure you get the agreement in writing. Include repairs you are willing to perform and any reduction in your mortgage payment the bank is going to give you. Have the agreement notarized by a professional. If the bank draws the contract, have an attorney look at it before signing.

Al Capone is America’s best known gangster, a symbol of the collapse of law and order in the 1920’s. Capone had a leading role in the illegal activities that lent Chicago its reputation as a lawless city.

Barack Obama has brought this same Chicago land style of doing business to Washington. Over the past thirteen months, he has lied, cheated, intimidated and bribed to push his agenda on the American people. This man will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Those who dare to stand in his way have been smeared in the media, and trampled upon like old rugs. Long standing democrats who disagree with the policies of this administration, have been asked to step aside, throwing years of service away in a blink of an eye. All “for the good of the democratic party” Obama said.

This President has recently pressured house democrats and congress to stand firm on healthcare reform, even if it costs them their careers in the upcoming November elections.

These are the actions of a desperate man, attempting to force a nation into accepting his policies. While doing so, he has alienated 68% of Americans and a large percentage of his own party, who just don’t believe government control of healthcare is needed.

As a nation, we need to stand up for what is right. This is not how our Founding Fathers envisioned America’s future. Gangland politics has no place in our government. Politicians are expected to be honest and represent the people. Backroom deals and pay-offs for votes are things corrupt countries do, not the United States Of America.

In an investigatory report by The Today Show this week, rental cars were tested for cleanliness and the presence of harmful bacteria you may be exposed to when renting a car.

The tests were conducted in Miami, Florida. Miami is the leading car rental state in the country. Six rental car companies were used in their investigation. A certified lab inspected six different vehicles, took samples and a team of Micro Biologist conducted the tests.

Samples were taken from the steering wheels, Door handles, gear shifter, child seats, window switches, and the radio control knobs.

Of the six cars tested, four of them tested high for bacteria including stomach and flu viruses. Harmful bacteria was found on the door handles, gear shifter, steering wheel and window switches. Two of the cars had the dangerous Strep Virus found on the tested child safety seats. Inspectors called the results alarming.

The overall condition of the cars tested was poor. There were crumbs in the cup holders, Sticky residue on the dash and doors, even one Mini Van had vomit on the floor board.

As reported, most rental cars are not inspected by upper management before hitting the lot, so buyer beware! The best solution for those renting cars, bring some disinfecting wipes with you. Wipe down the key areas noted and if you need a child seat, bring your own.
