The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) is a 30 year old charitable foundation formed to assist the families of our special operations forces. It’s main goals are to provide full college education to the surviving children of special operations soldiers who have lost their lives during a mission.
Secondly the foundation provides financial assistance to the families of severely wounded soldiers so they may be at the bedside of a recovering soldier.
Immediate assistance is provided to the families of these heroes. Special Operations Forces are on the front lines of the war on terror in Afghanistan and worldwide. Consisting of Navy Seals, Army Special Forces, Rangers, Marine Corps Special Operations, and Air force Combat Controllers, 60,000 strong.
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation plays a critical role in supporting these brave men and women who sometimes worry about their families future due to the dangerous nature of their jobs. The foundation hopes to relieve these soldiers of this distraction so that they can effectively perform their duties without having to worry if their children will be cared for if they should die.
100 Children a year are eligible for a fully paid college tuition thanks to the SOWF. Families of wounded soldiers receive immediate financial assistance of $2000 for travel, lodging and expenses to be at the bedside of a wounded special operations soldier during his or her recovery.
